Charity soliciting on roads is 'against the law' in Michigan, says MDOT | MLive.com: "While a recently enacted Flint Township ordinance mimics state law to stop solicitors and panhandlers on roads, a Michigan Department of Transportation official said it can be enforced statewide.

"Charities have to find ways to accomplish what they're doing in a legal fashion," said Linda Burchell, Davison Transportation Service Center manager for MDOT."
