Ethics Opinion Lets Lawmakers Solicit for Nonprofits | The Texas Tribune: In a unanimous decision on Thursday, the Texas Ethics Commission's board approved an amended advisory opinion that stopped short of recommending against lawmakers soliciting contributions for nonprofit organizations they are employed by.
