Law change hurts bingo groups | Amarillo Globe-News: Now in its 30th year, charitable bingo is big business in Texas, generating $281 million in prizes and almost $3.5 million in tax money so far this year. But some Amarillo charities have seen their slice of bingo money shrink in recent years after a 2009 law allowed their building’s lessor, Austin-based Littlefield Corp., to charge them directly for upkeep.
