Collaboration beats at the heart of new statewide office on philanthropy - New Mexico Business Weekly:
Collaboration beats at the heart of new statewide office on philanthropy - New Mexico Business Weekly:: "he office launched in June with a $400,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. It’s a collaboration among Lt. Gov. Diane Denish, the Children’s Cabinet (which fosters collaboration among state agencies dealing with children’s health and well-being), the Kellogg Foundation and the Albuquerque Community Foundation. The office is not a grantmaking organization. It is modeled on a similar office in Michigan where the director has Cabinet-level status, identifying and brokering partnerships among funders, government and nonprofits to create policy reforms for children and families. The city of Newark, N.J. created a similar office in 2007."
