Legislation would help volunteers cover the cost of driving- Syracuse.com: "Sen. Charles Schumer was in Syracuse Tuesday to talk about the Giving Incentives to Volunteers Everywhere (GIVE) Act of 2008, which would increase the Internal Revenue Service charity mileage reimbursement rate claimed as a tax deduction to 27 cents per mile. It also would ensure the rate increases every year."
